It's Tuesday and I finally have a day off after working doubles for the past couple of weeks. Granted I did have what my employer considered to be a day off, but if I step foot inside that building at any point during a 24 hour period, I don't call that a day off. And it seems that me getting all hot under the collar, huffing and puffing and causing a ruckus matters little to the higher ups. So here I am finally announcing my contest winners and admitting something that - for an OCD control freak who has to have everything done a certain way - is very hard for me to come to terms with. Here goes. Folks, I've come to the realization that I am not superwoman!
*head desk*
My husband's been saying it for years, my kids say it and now I have come to the harsh conclusion that they were right. There actually are some times when 24 hours in a day are not enough to get all I want accomplished and rather than stressing about it, I am forced to just *sniffles* accept it!
Sorry, folks I stand before you a mere woman with a busy schedule. My hair is a mess right now, I haven't yet had a shower yet and it's after 1 o'clock. I have no idea what's for dinner, I have loads of laundry to do and quite frankly, I would really like to take a bubble bath.
However, I can't do any of that until I take care of what my post promises. I've already delivered on the confession part *hangs head in shame* and now it's time for my gripe. This one is to my boss, I WANT TIME OFF!!!!! I know I'm an "integral part of the team" and all that, but seriously! I'm not feeling the whole team thing right now. Especially since none of the team does my housework, grocery shopping or anything else. So forgive me while I be a sour puss because I can't always be the go to gal for extra work!
